The Four Horsemen and the Merchants of Revelation

Contemporary insights into history and the Hebraic festivals provide a foundation for revitalizing the traditional historicist view of recapitulation in the book of Revelation. While maintaining their view of the Antichrist, this interpretation sees John’s use of recapitulation as more modest than traditional views.

This new perspective connects the prophecies of the seven seals with our modern, market-driven society, the Laodicean church, the autumn festivals, and “the time of the end” referenced in Daniel 8:17. The link between the apocalyptic horsemen in the seven seals and the historical rise and decline of the Protestant movement is notable.
Furthermore, the connections between the autumn festivals, final judgment, and the horse riders of the seven seals are thought-provoking, offering blessings to the children of God and reproof for those in darkness (Revelation 1:3).

Marsue and Jerry Huerta are a family of lay authors who have dedicated years of their lives to the intense study of the historicist’s interpretations of the book of Revelation and believe they have written a book for our time that renovates the historicist’s house while leaving it standing. It finishes the house of historicism.
